Overview of the Role
A Senior Data Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining the current data flow and data warehouse.
Main responsibilities, but not limited to:
Maintain and develop integrations with XERO API.
Implement and manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
Design and develop enterprise data models and data warehouses for clients.
Maintain and develop reports in Power BI and Board Pack PDF.
Lead data analytics projects, focusing on visualization and predictive modeling.
Understand business data needs and guide appropriate technological resources.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and design effective solutions.
Aggregate and analyze data to generate actionable insights.
Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and other tools for business users.
Develop and implement data management policies, procedures, and standards.
Successful applicants should:
A graduate in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar or related role.
Strong proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and ideally Power BI and Power Query.
Familiarity with ETL processes and associated tools.
Working knowledge of Data Lake, Spark, and Python is a plus, but not required.
Ability to create clear and concise process documentation.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
