Senior Data Engineer

Ciklum is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team full-time in Poland.

About the role:

As a Senior Data Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. Together, we will work on the project focused on building and maintaining robust data pipelines and ETL processes that support advanced analytics and business intelligence initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and optimize ETL workflows for data ingestion, transformation, and loading into the data warehouse
• Develop and maintain data pipelines using Apache Airflow for scheduling and orchestration
• Manage and optimize MySQL databases, ensuring data integrity and performance
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to provide clean and structured datasets for modeling and reporting
• Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows, ensuring high availability and reliability
• Implement best practices for data quality, security, and governance
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to the evolution of the data platform

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering or data warehouse development
• Strong proficiency in Python for data processing and automation
• Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration
• Solid understanding of MySQL including query optimization, indexing, and schema design
• Familiarity with data science concepts and the ability to support analytical workflows
• Experience with ETL tools, data modeling, and data warehouse design

Desirable:

• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
