Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Manager of Data Engineering to lead our data engineering team in building and scaling reliable, high-performance data platforms and pipelines. This role will be responsible for designing data architectures, ensuring data quality and governance, and enabling advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives. You will combine technical expertise with leadership skills to mentor engineers, drive strategy, and deliver data solutions that support business growth.  

 

Our tech stack is Snowflake, Sigma, Atlan, Airflow, AWS S3, dbt, Python, SQL, Terraform

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of data engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability. 

  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver solutions. 

  • Define and execute the data engineering roadmap in alignment with organizational strategy. 

  • Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data workflows. 

  • Partner with data scientists and business analysts to enable advanced analytics and AI/ML initiatives. 

  • Establish best practices for data architecture, quality, security, and governance. 

  • Optimize data processing for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency. 

  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and security standards. 

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in data engineering, with at least 3+ years in a leadership or management role. 
  • Strong expertise with SQL, Python, and data pipeline frameworks like Airflow and dbt 
  • Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms like Snowflake, Redshift, etc. 
  • Proficiency in at least one cloud environments like AWS, GCP, or Azure 
  • Proven track record of delivering scalable, production-grade data solutions. 
  • Strong understanding of data security, governance, and compliance frameworks. 
  • Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
