As a Lead Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our data infrastructure, enabling fast, reliable insights that drive strategic decisions in our rapidly growing FTTH business. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, designing and implementing scalable data solutions that empower our operations and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and deploy ETL pipelines that efficiently ingest and process large-scale customer, network, and operational data.
- Design cloud-based data solutions tailored for an FTTH environment, optimizing data lakes, warehouses, and marts.
- Build real-time and batch processing pipelines to support network performance monitoring, demand forecasting, and customer analytics.
- Develop reusable components for data transformation, ensuring scalability, resilience, and fault tolerance.
- Collaborate with business and engineering teams to translate complex data needs into actionable solutions, supporting analytics and AI-driven insights.
- Establish strong data governance, security, and quality control measures to maintain integrity and compliance.
- Continuously evaluate emerging technologies, ensuring our data infrastructure remains cutting-edge and cost-effective.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science or a relevant field
- 6+ years of experience designing, developing, and deploying data solutions in high-growth environments, preferably telecom or broadband-related.
- Deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS preferred) with hands-on experience in data lakes, warehouse architecture, and pipeline automation.
- Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and experience with Big Data frameworks (Spark, Hadoop).
- Ability to implement streaming architectures (Kafka) for near real-time insights into network performance and customer behavior.
- Familiarity with LLMs and AI/ML applications, exploring innovative ways to enhance FTTH operations.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, able to bridge technical solutions with business impact.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic startup environment, adapting quickly to evolving challenges and opportunities.
- Telecom industry experience and familiarity with network analytics, customer segmentation, and fiber deployment strategies are highly desirable.
