Data Integration Engineer

Virtual Benefits Administrator
Full-time
On-site
United States
$100,000 - $115,000 USD yearly

What are we looking for?

We’re seeking a business-oriented, self-starting Data Integration Engineer who is hungry to figure things out—not just follow instructions. If you're someone who enjoys solving complex problems, sees an issue and proactively tackles it, and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where a single change can have broad downstream impacts, you’ll fit right in.

This role is more than just building pipelines—you’re the architect of how client data moves through and supports our entire healthcare platform. You’ll collaborate directly with internal teams across the organization, to ensure VBA's data integration solutions drive real business value.

What is our EDI process like at VBA?

Our EDI process is custom-engineered for flexibility and precision. As a Data Integration Engineer, you’ll build and maintain tools that parse, map, and transform client data—such as eligibility files, claims, accumulators, and COB—into our platform’s data model. These tools are critical in supporting onboarding for new clients, maintaining file exchanges, and ensuring that data updates are processed accurately and efficiently. The work you do directly enables clients to administer benefits in real time and supports millions of users who rely on accurate healthcare data every day.
