- Education: PhD or Master's in Computer Science or Data Science.
- You are a highly skilled Data Engineering Architect with deep expertise in Microsoft technologies and able to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise level data solutions end-to-end. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Azure data services, SQL Server, and data integration to support scalable, high-performance data platforms.
- 7+ years of experience in data architecture and engineering, 2+ years as a Data Architect or Lead Data Engineer, with a focus on Microsoft technologies.
- Deep expertise in Azure Data Platform (Fabric, Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks, ADLS, Purview).
- Strong experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL (CosmosDB, MongoDB, Cassandra).
- Expertise in ETL/ELT tools and processes, including Azure Data Factory, SSIS, Glue, dbt.
- Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, Scala, PowerShell.
- Hands-on experience with big data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark.
- Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
- Proficiency in Power BI for data visualization and analytics (PL-300 certification would be a plus).
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD practices for data engineering workflows.
- Microsoft Certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.
- Advanced written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills in English; German language skills would be a plus (minimum B1 level).
