About Muvr

Muvr is an innovative logistics and marketplace platform that connects customers with reliable movers and delivery professionals—think Uber or Grab for logistics. From same-day deliveries to full-service relocations, we’re scaling rapidly and need data-driven insights to power intelligent decision-making across every part of the business.

About the Role

We’re seeking a Data Engineer to build and optimize our data infrastructure, pipelines, and tooling to support analytics, reporting, machine learning, and real-time decision systems. You’ll be at the core of our data stack—designing systems to collect, clean, transform, and serve mission-critical data across teams.

This role will also leverage AI-driven tools for faster development, pipeline optimization, anomaly detection, and documentation. Your work will power everything from real-time logistics decisions to partner dashboards, investor metrics, and ML models.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines from multiple sources (app databases, APIs, third-party tools, logs).

  • Develop and manage a modern data warehouse or lakehouse architecture (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, or Delta Lake).

  • Create efficient, version-controlled data models and schemas (using dbt, Airflow, or similar).

  • Automate data validation, anomaly detection, and pipeline monitoring using AI and analytics platforms.

  • Collaborate with analytics, engineering, operations, and product teams to ensure clean, reliable data for decision-making.

  • Integrate structured and unstructured data from APIs, apps, marketing platforms (e.g., GA4, HubSpot), and logistics sources.

  • Implement best practices for data governance, access control, logging, and cost optimization.

  • Use AI tools (e.g., GPT for SQL generation, automated data mapping, schema inference, and documentation writing) to accelerate output.

  • Maintain and scale real-time or batch data feeds powering internal dashboards, marketplace insights, and operational alerts.

  • Document pipelines, data dictionaries, and lineage with tools like DataHub, OpenMetadata, or similar.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or equivalent role in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment

  • Experience with modern data stacks: SQL, Python, Airflow, dbt, Kafka, Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or equivalent

  • Familiarity with data warehousing principles, star/snowflake schema modeling, and data APIs

  • Solid understanding of data privacy, security, and compliance standards (GDPR, SOC2, etc.)

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD for data pipelines and version control for SQL/ELT workflows

  • Bonus: Experience supporting ML pipelines or working with MLOps teams

  • Bonus: Familiarity with tools like Looker, Metabase, Tableau, Superset, or AI-enhanced analytics platforms

  • Strong communication and documentation skills—ability to explain data concepts clearly to non-technical teams

Why Join Muvr?

  • Shape the data foundation of a fast-scaling logistics marketplace

  • Work with modern tools and bring AI into everyday data engineering workflows

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a data-first company
