BE is looking for a Data Engineer to support our National Gallery of Art client. In this role you will support the design, development, maintenance, and documentation of data pipelines and integrations, primarily using Python, PySpark, SSMS, and Microsoft Azure.

Location: McLean, VA (Remote Available)

To keep breaking barriers and redefining what's possible, we’re looking for candidates with the following exceptional technical capabilities:

• Developing and maintaining resilient, well-documented data ingestion pipelines.
• Programming and troubleshooting data infrastructure automation.
• Creating and maintaining data flows between systems.
• Managing and debugging data integrations between Google platforms (Sheets, Analytics, Looker Studio) and Azure Data Lake.
• Supporting Azure data lake landing, conformance, and curated zones.
• Integrating and maintaining lightweight data ingestion from sources such as Excel/CSV files.
• Executing tasks and documentation defined by NGA’s Data Architect.
• Participate in the triage, investigation, and resolution of incident and outages in NGA’s data platforms and pipelines.

• BS In Computer Science or related field (may substitute relevant experience)
• Proficient in Python, PySpark, SSMS
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure data services and tools.
• Agile Development Experience
• Able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Verification
   

• Familiarity with data privacy and stewardship practices in public sector or nonprofit settings.
• Experience working with museums, cultural institutions, or education-focused organizations.
