This role offers the opportunity to shape and scale a cutting-edge data infrastructure that drives business intelligence, analytics, and machine learning initiatives. You will design, build, and maintain robust pipelines, data warehouses, and streaming platforms that support strategic decision-making and operational excellence. The position requires deep technical expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and a passion for optimizing data operations for scalability, accuracy, and timeliness. This role emphasizes both technical leadership and hands-on engineering to influence the future of data-driven products.

Accountabilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain high-quality data infrastructure services, including data lakes, real-time streaming (Kafka, Amazon Kinesis), and data access layers.
  • Develop efficient DBT models and jobs to support analytics reporting and machine learning workflows.
  • Collaborate with analytics and product teams to ensure proper data modeling, ingestion, and reporting.
  • Build scalable real-time and offline ETL pipelines, ensuring reliability and performance.
  • Design, implement, and manage secure data warehouses for large datasets.
  • Automate manual processes and optimize data delivery to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Document engineering designs, runbooks, and best practices to standardize workflows.


Requirements
  • 8+ years of industry experience in data infrastructure or data engineering.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience with Python and SQL; Java experience is a plus.
  • 4+ years of experience with DBT, Snowflake, and Infrastructure as Code tools (CDK, Terraform).
  • Familiarity with AWS services including Lambda, Step Functions, Glue, RDS, EKS, DMS, and EMR.
  • Industry experience with big data platforms such as Kafka, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Cassandra, and Airflow.
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases in production environments.
  • Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
  • Experience with CI/CD processes, cross-functional collaboration, and mentoring other engineers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous, fast-paced, high-growth environment.
