Job Description Summary

As a member of the Fleet Services (FS) Analytics team in Gas Power Engineering, you will be an active contributor to provide insights into the most challenging business problems and deliver robust, scalable, and quality analytics solutions in enterprise architecture to improve reliability management for the world’s best-running fleet.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Work closely with domain experts to identify and implement the most impactful analytical solutions that address both customer and business needs.

  • Perform advanced data-mining and predictive modeling studies using state-of-the-art tools and technologies, focusing on identifying the drivers and signatures of equipment anomalies, covering both GE and non-GE equipment.

  • Provide complex information and data in easy-to-consume dashboards for general consumption of the business using BI tools.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand business-level drivers for power generation from both the product line and customer perspectives, ensuring analytics solutions align with their goals and requirements.

  • Demonstrate solid engineering and domain knowledge in delivering innovative advanced analytics solutions for power customers.

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy production-grade analytics using Python for real-time data processing and 24×7 monitoring in the M&D Center, leveraging CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration, delivery, and lifecycle management.

  • Write comprehensive analytics functional documentation and supporting technical materials. Gather end-user and customer requirements to ensure the delivered solutions meet their needs.

  • Develop a trusted advocate relationship with customers.  Drive repeatability in solution component architectures.

  • Expected to promote and identify new technologies in the data analytics space to stakeholders.

Education and Basic Qualification

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited university or college.

  • 8+ years of engineering experience, including relevant experience in the power industry.

  • Proven analytics and problem-solving skills applied to real-world engineering challenges.

  • Hands-on experience in developing advanced analytics using Python, R, or MATLAB.

  • Strong foundation in data analysis, statistical modeling, and algorithm development.
