As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining modern data platforms. You’ll act as a trusted advisor to our clients—helping them make smart, sustainable decisions that generate real business value. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both technical experts and business stakeholders.

What you’ll do:

  • Work closely with customers and cross-functional teams to understand data needs and ensure data quality and integrity

  • Design and build scalable batch and real-time data pipelines

  • Develop and maintain data lakes, data warehouses, and analytics platforms

  • Implement best practices for data governance, quality, and security

  • Support BI teams with data insights and tools

  • Contribute to our internal Data & AI community by sharing knowledge and mentoring others.

What we’re looking for:

  • At least 4–5 years of experience in a Data Engineer role

  • Fluency in Finnish and English (written and spoken)

  • Hands-on experience with platforms like Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or Snowflake

  • Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP)

  • Strong understanding of data architecture: data lakes, modeling, warehousing, SQL/NoSQL, ETL/ELT

  • Proficiency in programming (e.g., Python, R, or Java)

  • Experience with version control and CI/CD practices

  • Ability to work in a consultative role and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Experience in defining, developing, and maintaining data products

  • Curiosity and willingness to stay up to date with emerging technologies, including AI-powered solutions.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with real-time data streaming or high-volume batch pipelines

  • Skills in data analytics and visualization tools

  • Domain knowledge in banking, insurance, or the public sector

  • Interest in mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to our internal data community

Location & flexibility

This position is based in Finland, with most clients located in the Helsinki area. While we support remote work, occasional on-site presence may be required.

Why join us?

  • Work on meaningful projects with leading Nordic clients

  • Use a modern tech stack and collaborate with top technology partners

  • Enjoy a flexible hybrid work model and excellent work-life balance

  • Be part of a culture that values learning, curiosity, and continuous development

  • Join a supportive Data & AI community where your expertise is appreciated.
