This is a remote position.
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer (PostgreSQL and d SQL syntax) to join our team.

Requirements
- Basic understanding of data modeling design patterns such as 3NF and star-schema.
- Data warehouse design experience using medallion architecture and/or snowflake methodologies.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Synapse or Snowflake.
- Reporting tools such as Power BI.
- ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory.
- Performance tuning databases and long running queries.
- Stored procedure development.
- Database migrations and/or database server consolidations, including Azure SQL solutions.
- Configure Azure SQL databases, elastic pools, and Managed Instances.
- Perform health checks, assessments, and security audits for client databases.
- Implement replication and/or log shipping for disaster recovery or reporting scenarios.
- Evaluate disk I/O and network throughput for SQL performance.
Nice to Have Experience:
- Advanced SQL syntax.
- SQL Server installation & configuration in production environments using best practices.
- Availability Group & failover cluster configuration.
- Exposure to MySQL and/or PostgreSQL environments.
- Familiarity with Red Gate SQL Monitor or similar tools.
- Right-sizing VM for SQL Server.
- Develop and maintain robust backup, recovery, and maintenance plans.
- Holding Microsoft certification(s) in the Data & AI solutions field are a plus.
- Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-600).
- Microsoft Certified: Fabric Data Engineer Associate (DP-700).
- Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300).
- Microsoft Certified: Administering Microsoft Azure SQL Solutions (DP-300).
