As a Senior Data Engineer at Regard, you’ll be involved in all stages of building our next generation of data infrastructure. Your primary objective will be to develop high-quality data architecture solutions which will be used for customer analytics, product & engineering insights, and business intelligence. You will architect, build and maintain our data platform, select tools, codify best practices, and lead and mentor others.

Responsibilities:
Build batch pipelines to process and consolidate data into the data warehouse supporting analytics and reporting
Develop near real-time pipelines delivering data to the vector store powering our LLM-based products
Collaborate with engineering teams to design scalable data infrastructure and ensure data quality
Partner closely with product to define and evolve Regard’s data model for analytics, business intelligence, and future data-driven initiatives
Build and maintain dashboards that deliver actionable insights to internal and external stakeholders
Provide operational support and ensure reliability of data pipelines through proactive monitoring and alerting systems
Qualifications:
BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, related data field or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in data engineering roles building data pipelines
3+ years of experience in public cloud provider technologies (AWS tooling such as Glue, Kinesis, or EMR)
Expertise in SQL
Experience in Python programming
Experience with orchestration tools such as Dagster, Prefect, or Airflow
Experience with a business intelligence platform such as (Tableau, Looker, Metabase, Quicksight, etc)
Able to travel up to 4 weeks a year for company co-working and/or retreat weeks
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with Dagster
Experience working on an enterprise SaaS technology product
Exposure to startup and/or high growth environments
Experience supporting training of ML models
Strong verbal and written communication skills

For this role, Regard is currently only considering candidates who are authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship, and are within the New York City metro area
We expect our Engineers to be in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We may request more frequent in-office work during the onboarding period
We will provide relocation assistance to anyone who does not already reside in the NYC metro area
We prefer hiring people within commuting distance of our NYC office because we value getting together in person regularly

At Regard, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your skills, qualifications, location, and experience. We expect the base salary range for this position to be $175,000 to $200,000. This is subject to change and may be modified in the future. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
