As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll be responsible for designing and implementing the data architecture and pipelines that allow the business to harness insights from vast and complex datasets.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimise scalable ETL / ELT pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and storing large datasets.
- Develop and maintain robust data models, warehouses, and lakes to support analytics and reporting.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to deliver clean, consistent, and well-governed data.
- Implement solutions on cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and automate infrastructure where possible.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across all platforms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with data pipelines, ensuring availability and performance.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to data engineering best practices.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer (5+ years), with exposure to large-scale, complex environments.
- Skills in SQL and at least one programming language.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred; Azure/GCP also valued).
- Hands-on knowledge of data pipeline and orchestration
- Familiarity with Terraform or Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) for managing cloud environments.
- Solid understanding of data modelling, warehousing, and governance.
- Previous exposure to transport, logistics, courier, or supply chain industries is a strong advantage.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
