Cloud Platform Experience

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and managed services like Glue, Dataflow, EMR, or Data Factory.
  

• DevOps & CI/CD for Data Engineering
  

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform), and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) for data deployments.
  

• Real-Time Data Processing
  

• Experience with streaming data tools such as Apache Kafka, Flink, or Spark Structured Streaming.
  

• Data Security & Compliance
  

• Understanding of data privacy regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.) and best practices in securing sensitive data.
  

• Mentorship and Code Reviews
  

• Provide guidance to junior data engineers, participate in peer code reviews, and contribute to internal documentation and best practices.
  

Good to Have Skills :

• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams
  

• Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, product managers, and software engineers to translate business requirements into technical data solutions.
  

• Performance Optimization
  

• Monitor and optimize performance of data workflows, SQL queries, and infrastructure to ensure cost-efficiency and reliability.
  

Roles and Responsibilities :

Design and Build Scalable Data Pipelines

• Develop robust, scalable, and efficient ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like Apache Spark, Airflow, or dbt to process large-scale datasets.
  

• Data Modeling & Warehousing
  

• Design and optimize data models for operational and analytical workloads; build data warehouses or data lakes on platforms like Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Azure Synapse.
  

• Data Quality & Governance
  

• Ensure high data integrity, quality, and security by implementing validation checks, lineage tracking, and compliance with data governance policies.
