An international forex broker is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join their team in Limassol.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

Duties & Responsibilities<\/b>
<\/p>

  • Develop data integration solutions for extraction, transformation, and loading into Data Lakes and/or Data Warehouses using modern cloud -based technologies.
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Design and develop rich data models to facilitate data analysis.
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Create import procedures for collecting, storing, and analyzing data from multiple sources.
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Actively contribute to the ongoing design and development of the organization's data estate.
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Analyze business requirements to develop simple, yet effective solutions to meet both immediate and long -term BI needs.<\/span>

    Requirements<\/h3>
    • BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar position, preferably within a financial services organization.
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Strong SQL skills and a deep understanding of Data Warehouse design principles.
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Familiarity with Data Lake design and basic storage formats like CSV, JSON, Parquet, etc.
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Good understanding of object -oriented programming languages like Python and Scala.
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Ability to translate complex data into a consumable format and structure.
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Strong analytical and problem -solving skills.
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Ability to liaise with product management and content owners to produce impactful visualizations.<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
      <\/li>
    • Team player with excellent communication skills.
      <\/li><\/ul>

      Advantageous Qualifications<\/b>
      <\/p>

      • Interest in data modeling and statistical analysis using Python or R.
        <\/span><\/li>
      • Familiarity with the Azure cloud ecosystem.
        <\/span><\/li>
      • Experience in financial markets.
        <\/span><\/li>
      • Proficiency in data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar.<\/span>
        <\/li><\/ul><\/span>
