Ubiminds is assisting a global leader in hiring and assessment technology. They are scaling a brand-new integrations team responsible for transforming high-volume customer data into reliable, analytics-ready outputs.
Challenge
We're looking for a Senior Data Engineer (5+ years) with strong backend and ETL experience to help build the next generation of the customer data architecture.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in large-scale data environments, understands high-volume ingestion patterns, and enjoys designing reliable, reusable, and well-structured data pipelines.
You won’t be working on frontend tasks — this is a highly technical backend/data role focused on ETL pipelines, ingestion systems, BI-ready delivery, and cloud-native integrations. You’ll join a brand-new, highly-skilled team where engineering excellence, autonomy, and ownership are key.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain
high-volume ETL pipelines and ingestion
systems.-
Deliver BI-ready datasets consumed by tools such as Snowflake, Tableau, Looker, or internal
platforms.-
Build logging, auditing, and monitoring tools to ensure reliability and visibility across
pipelines.-
Support the migration to a next-generation data platform with strong emphasis on
scalability.-
Debug complex data flows across AWS services, Postgres, SQL Server, RDS, DynamoDB, and custom ATS
integrations.-
Collaborate closely with the TPM, Full-Stack Engineer, and other Data Engineers on architecture and
design.-
Ensure data quality, consistency, and proper handling of massive customer datasets with many custom
fields.-
Work hands-on with AWS-native components such as Lambda, SQS, Fargate, S3, containerization, and ingestion orchestration.
Mandatory Skills
- 5+ years of experience as a
Data Engineer with backend/ETL
focus.Strong experience designing and maintaining
large-scale ETL pipelines.-
Advanced SQL (query optimization, analytical queries, debugging).
- Experience with high-volume data ingestion and cloud-native data
processing.-
Strong understanding of data modeling, data validation, and operational data best
practices.-
Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
- Comfort working in ambiguous, early-stage team environments.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with BI tools such as
Snowflake, Tableau, Looker, Power BI.-
Understanding of observability patterns (metrics, tracing, structured logs).
- Light familiarity with React (preferred but not required).
- Experience working in newly formed engineering teams or undefined-scope projects.
