About the company
A large-scale Australian organisation going through significant transformation, with a new data capability being built from the ground up and substantial investment into ERP and HCM systems. The company is embarking on a data separation and migration program to support future growth.

About the role
This blended role combines project management and hands-on data engineering. Reporting to a key transformation lead, the role spans three core streams: separation, migration and future-state design. You’ll act as a central liaison and voice of the data team. 

They are based in Sydney and work in a hybrid set up - 2-3 days on site and 2-3 days remote.

Duties/Key responsibilities

• Manage data separation documentation and stakeholder reporting 
• Liaise across IT teams for ERP and HCM data migration
• Contribute to data architecture and modelling for new systems
• Provide a future-state lens for data environment design
• Support ad hoc tech and data-related requests

Skills and experience

• Strong background in data engineering and project coordination
• Experience with relational databases and data modelling (e.g., ERDs, SQL)
• Comfortable working in hybrid on-prem and Azure environments
• Strong communication, adaptability, and attention to detail
• Prior consulting or stakeholder-heavy roles ideal
• Understanding of ERP/HCM systems - a bonus
