This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Power BI Developer. This role involves designing, building, and optimizing reporting solutions using Power BI. The focus will be on developing dashboards and reports with data sourced primarily from Acumatica and Google BigQuery. The contract is expected to last between 30 to 60 days with an average of 20 hours per week, leaving room for potential increased hours if needed. This position plays a vital role in ensuring effective data visualization and informed decision-making.
Accountabilities
- Design and develop Power BI dashboards and reports to support business and financial reporting needs.
- Write and optimize queries to extract and transform data from Acumatica reports and related data sources.
- Integrate and model data from Google BigQuery for use in Power BI.
- Utilize Tableau dashboards as guides to replicate functionality in Power BI.
- Ensure data accuracy, performance, and consistency across reports and dashboards.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective visualizations.
- Perform data validation, troubleshooting, and performance tuning as needed.
- Document data models, report logic, and development standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience developing reports and dashboards in Microsoft Power BI.
- Hands-on experience with Google BigQuery as a data source.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL concepts, and BI best practices.
- Experience with Tableau (development or migration scenarios) is preferred.
- Background in financial, operational, or ERP reporting environments is a plus.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, contract-based engagement.
