Department Overview

In the Strategic Sales Department, we work with over 200 sales consultants nationwide to support the sales of hotels. We develop data-driven strategies and action plans, contributing to the maximization of our partners' profits. Specifically, we conduct market analysis and understand customer needs to deploy effective sales strategies.

Our strategic planning group offers analytical dashboards using visual analytics to clear up the direction of our sales strategies, allowing us to approach the market competitively. We enhance our industry leadership by supporting strategic decisions through data analysis.

Position Details

In this position, team members collaborate to perform data analysis using BI (Business Intelligence) and generative AI, contributing to the support of consulting organizations and operational efficiency. Specifically, you will analyze customer data and market trends to identify new business opportunities and optimize existing services. Additionally, you will make strategic proposals based on the analysis results and work with business units to develop implementation plans. Our team handles all aspects of dashboard creation in-house, including data extraction with SQL, data formatting, dashboard construction, integration of AI features, and deployment to users. You will have the opportunity to acquire skills throughout the entire "visual analytics cycle."

Furthermore, in your role, you will collaborate with various organizations within the Rakuten Group and other businesses, tackling business challenges through data analysis.

Mandatory Qualifications:

- Experience using BI tools (Business Intelligence Tools)

- Basic knowledge related to databases (DWH)

- Requirements definition for advancing data analysis

Desired Qualifications:

- Experience in extracting data from a database using SQL

- Profound knowledge in data aggregation and visualization

- Knowledge of data in the travel industry

- Creation of predictive models using Python, etc
