Description
- Lead Data Engineer in the banking sector, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data infrastructure and pipelines that support critical banking functions.
- You will lead a team of data engineers, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and ensure the integrity, security, and performance of data systems across the organization.
Responsibilities
Managerial Responsibilities:
- Guide and mentor teams, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Oversee planning, execution and delivery of data engineering projects, Define & enforce best practices for data architecture, pipelines and infrastructure.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure data systems comply with security, privacy, and regulatory standards.
- Drive continuous improvement in data processing efficiency and scalability.
- Adhere to organization policies Process, Procedure, Compliance.
Functional Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement robust data pipelines and ETL processes to support banking operations, analytics and reporting.
- Manage and optimize data engineering architecture for scalability, reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts and business teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
- Lead the migration of data systems to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows and resolve issues proactively.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.
- Support Efficient Data Operations: Assist in maintaining data pipelines and performing ETL tasks, ensuring data is readily available for analysis and supporting daily business operations.
Qualifications
Any Graduate
Min Exp: 13 years
Max Exp: 15 years
13+ years of experience in data engineering, preferably in banking or financial services.
