About the Role:
The Data Engineering Analyst at Brooks is responsible for developing and optimizing data pipelines and architectures to support advanced analytics and data science initiatives. This role will be working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our data infrastructure aligns with business objectives and provides actionable insights.
As the pioneer member of the Data Analytics team in the region, you will be responsible for maintaining robust data pipelines and infrastructure to support analytics and reporting needs. This role involves ensuring data integrity, optimizing data workflows, and collaborating with stakeholders to enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Work Location: Onsite - Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, Build, and Maintain Data Pipelines: Ensure data quality and integrity across multiple data sources
Collaborate with Data and Business Analysts: Support data-driven insights by integrating data from various sources
ETL Processes: Implement and optimize ETL processes for various data environments
Data Warehousing: Maintain and improve data warehousing solutions
Performance Monitoring: Manage and monitor data infrastructure performance
Documentation: Document data engineering processes and best practices
Any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Minimum 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a related role
Key Technical Skills: Proven experience with SQL, Informatica IDMC platform
Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts like STAR schema, Analytical databases like AWS Redshift, Data Quality, Data Lineage etc.
Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS or Azure
Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Communication: Strong communication and collaboration skills
