Data Engineer (Remote - US)

Accountabilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust data systems and pipelines across SQL, NoSQL, and cloud-based platforms.
• Analyze and organize raw data to support reporting, analytics, and operational needs.
• Conduct complex data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
• Define high-level migration plans and propose innovative solutions to improve existing data architecture.
• Drive cost-effective and performance-driven solutions using elastic architectures in cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure, including Cosmos DB, Azure Data Factory, and Databricks.
• Promote reuse of data assets, including management of data catalogs and ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Collaborate with leadership to present cost/benefit analyses and influence architectural decisions.

• Extensive knowledge of data principles, processes, patterns, and practices.
• Experience in SQL database design, data modeling, and building data pipelines.
• Strong understanding of network and data security architecture.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL applications on Big Data platforms.
• Proficiency in cloud-based data platforms and tools, particularly Microsoft Azure, Databricks, and Azure Data Factory.
• Knowledge in at least two of the following: data warehousing, analytics development, APIs, data integration, data management, cloud platforms, servers/storage, or database management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate insights effectively.
• Preferred: operational data science, machine learning, AI solutions, or data engineering certifications (e.g., IBM Certified Data Engineer).
