Data Engineer (Remote - Latam)

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to design, optimize, and maintain data pipelines that support financial analysis and reporting. In this role, you will work on consolidating and transforming large datasets, implementing financial data models, and automating dashboards and reports to monitor key metrics such as cash flow, revenue, costs, and taxes. You will also ensure data security, governance, and efficient storage management within the data warehouse. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex data challenges, optimizing performance, and contributing to data-driven decision-making in a fully remote, collaborative environment.

Accountabilities

• Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines (ETL/ELT) to consolidate and transform financial information.
• Implement robust financial data models to support analysis and reporting.
• Automate reports and dashboards for monitoring key metrics, including cash flow, revenue, costs, and taxes.
• Optimize data processing times and storage efficiency within the data warehouse.
• Ensure data security, quality, and governance standards are maintained.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and deliver actionable insights.

• 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in similar roles, preferably handling accounting or financial data.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and strong skills in data modeling for financial analysis.
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines using dbt, Dataform, Airflow, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms, preferably GCP (BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage).
• Advanced Python skills for data manipulation and processing.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to data accuracy and governance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Comfortable working fully remotely across Latin America.
