As a Data Engineer / ETL & Interface Developer, you will work on a core part of our platform: data integration. You analyze existing ERP systems, build robust import and interface processes, and ensure that customer data is transferred into Impower in a reliable, clean, and scalable way. Your work has a direct impact on product quality, onboarding speed, and customer satisfaction.
Analyze existing ERP systems in the German market
Identify data models, export paths, and integration options
Design reusable interface and import strategies
Develop automated import interfaces, scripts, and tools for data extraction
Build stable ETL/ELT pipelines to reliably transform customer data
Continuously improve and optimize existing import functionality in Impower
Automate previously manual data onboarding processes
Execute data migrations for complex and large customer projects
Map and match legacy systems to Impower’s data structures
Perform logical, technical, and domain-specific validation of incoming data
Convert all incoming data into a unified Impower standard
Ensure high data quality prior to go-live
Develop intuitive self-import features for non-technical users
Build scalable data pipelines, tools, and technical standards
Contribute to the design and improvement of internal onboarding and data processes
Document and continuously improve the data infrastructure
Work closely with onboarding project management, customer success, and product teams
Coordinate with internal and external developers
Communicate with customers in both German and English
Handle individual data-related tasks within defined SLAs
Several years of experience in data engineering, ETL, data processing, or interface development
Strong skills in data manipulation, comparison, and transformation
Experience with scripting languages, automation (custom scripts, low-code/no-code), and data pipelines
Solid knowledge of API-based and/or file-based interfaces
Ability to quickly understand and analyze complex data structures
Very good German and English language skills
Structured, precise, and solution-oriented working style
High sense of responsibility and strong quality standards
Ability to explain technical topics clearly to non-technical users
Team-oriented mindset combined with the ability to work independently
Nice to Have
Experience in software development or with modern cloud technologies
Experience in PropTech, ERP, or SaaS environments
Basic understanding of UX/UI principles
Experience in project management or customer-facing roles
