Minded (www.tryminded.com) is a consumer telehealth company that makes getting mental health medication easy and affordable. With Minded, consumers can get, refill and adjust prescription medications online with a caring psychiatric provider. We're looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team as we continue to build a first-of-its-kind product to help people get faster access to high-quality mental health care. 
 
Who you are
- You have experience (4+ years) working at a software-driven engineering organization
- You’ve architected, shipped, and maintained impactful features alongside your teammates

- You have:
    - Experience with DBT (modeling, using DBT packages), Python, Segment/Snowplow, and SQL
    - Familiarity with AWS, including applications leveraging server-less services (AWS lambdas)
    - Experience designing and implementing large-scale data processing pipelines
    - Understanding of CI/CD and devOps methodologies
- You have familiarity with MarTech stacks and or Google/Meta ad platforms
 
Your day-to-day will involve
- Defining and owning Minded’s data architecture to enable executives and business stakeholders to quickly and reliably answer their business questions.
- Working closely with the product team to define events and schema for key product releases, defining data solutions to enable reporting on product performance and user insights
- Working with our marketing organization to measure the effectiveness of their campaigns and channels
- Providing data best practices to the org and implement those best practices
- Leading, building, testing, and releasing product-facing features in a fast-paced environment
- Proactively identify and drive optimizations and improvements to the product and the company's engineering culture
 
Technologies we use
- MySQL, PostgreSQL and Redshift as data stores
- DBT, Python, Segment/Snowplow, and SQL
- Kubernetes for container orchestration
- AWS Cloud (Lambda, Elastic, RDS, Cognito, MSK)
- Jenkins as CI/CD platform
 
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience working at a software-driven engineering organization
- Product-mindedness: an interest in our users and the business as a whole
- Strong verbal and written skills
- Experience working with distributed teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
 
Extra Credit
- Experience working in a highly regulated environment (eg. healthcare, finance) - especially HIPAA regulations
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration, Release Automation and the design of cloud-native application pipelines
- Experience building data pipelines for distributed systems with a cloud service-oriented architecture
