Data Engineer

Specializing initially in the airline industry, Fetcherr aims to revolutionize industries with dynamic AI-driven solutions.

We're seeking for a Data Engineer to help us grow our data science team's capabilities. The ideal candidate is a data developer with relevant experience who is self-driven, motivated, independent, and sharp.

You will take an active part in all development phases, including research, design, development, testing and deployment using technologies like Python, Docker, Airflow, Kubernetes and more.

Must Have:

  • At least 4 years of experience with the following programming languages: Python, Scala and/or Java - any combination of the above is acceptable
  • At least 3 years of experience with SQL
  • 4+ years hands-on data engineering experience 
  • Good understanding and knowledge of Data
  • 2+ years of experience in cloud computing (any of Azure, AWS or GCP)
  • Experience with workflow orchestration using Apache Airflow or comparable tools (e.g., Prefect, Dagster)
  • Experience with large-scale data processing frameworks such as Apache Beam or Apache Spark
  • English – fluent, both written and spoken
  • Attention to detail, ability to work independently, communication skills

Nice to have:

  • BSc or MSc in Computer Science / Statistics / Math / Engineering
  • 2+ years of experience with Google Cloud Platform (especially with BigQuery)
  • Experience with CI/CD (like Gitlab or Github)
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Kubernetes, Docker)
  • Experience in processing hundreds of terabytes of data using distributed pipelines
  • Experience with pandas or similar
  • Structures and Algorithms, like: Data Structures: Lists, Stacks, Queues, Tree, Maps/Dictionaries, Graphs. Algorithms: Sorting, Searching, Shortest Path, Recursion, Hashing
