Data Engineer

We're seeking for a Data Engineer to help us grow our data science team's capabilities. The ideal candidate is a data developer with relevant experience who is self-driven, motivated, independent, and sharp.
You will take an active part in all development phases, including research, design, development, testing and deployment using technologies like Python, Docker, Airflow, Kubernetes and more.
Must Have:
- At least 4 years of experience with the following programming languages: Python, Scala and/or Java - any combination of the above is acceptable
- At least 3 years of experience with SQL
- 4+ years hands-on data engineering experience
- Good understanding and knowledge of Data
- 2+ years of experience in cloud computing (any of Azure, AWS or GCP)
- Experience with workflow orchestration using Apache Airflow or comparable tools (e.g., Prefect, Dagster)
- Experience with large-scale data processing frameworks such as Apache Beam or Apache Spark
- English – fluent, both written and spoken
- Attention to detail, ability to work independently, communication skills
Nice to have:
- BSc or MSc in Computer Science / Statistics / Math / Engineering
- 2+ years of experience with Google Cloud Platform (especially with BigQuery)
- Experience with CI/CD (like Gitlab or Github)
- Experience with containerization technologies (Kubernetes, Docker)
- Experience in processing hundreds of terabytes of data using distributed pipelines
- Experience with pandas or similar
- Structures and Algorithms, like: Data Structures: Lists, Stacks, Queues, Tree, Maps/Dictionaries, Graphs. Algorithms: Sorting, Searching, Shortest Path, Recursion, Hashing
