The candidate must be able to work a hybrid schedule with the team in Phoenix, AZ (onsite every Tues/Wed/Thurs). If the candidate is not located in Phoenix, but wiling to relocate and work onsite, they can begin working remotely and then relocate within the first few months while on contract.

Client is looking for a Big Data Engineer to help build and enhance their Big Data applications. This person should have hands-on coding skills with Spark and Scala and also have experience with Big Data querying tools such as Hive.
Any experience with the following items are pluses:
- Experience with NoSQL databases (MapR DB, HBase, Cassandra)
- Experience with Big Data Components/Frameworks such as Hadoop (MapR), Spark, Yarn
- Experience with Big Data querying tools such Hive
- Experience in Big Query and Cloud computing.
