We are looking for a Data Engineer for the Electro Magnetic Material (EMM) Application Development team at Höganäs. This team´s main responsibility is the process developing of powder parts (compacting, heat treatment) and manufacturing Soft Magnetic Composite (SMC) prototype parts for customers and internally use. With the knowledge learnt from these development activities the team’s task is to generate process guidelines and applications notes to support customers in their part manufacturing processes as well as design processes for SMC components in automotive applications.
As a Data Engineer within this team, you are responsible for leading and developing data collection and data analysis for these powder part processes. The results of this work should generate a process for data driven decisions and implementation of user-friendly tools for fast automatic data analysis feedback as well as presentation of data in reports or similar.
In your daily work you will:
- Be responsible for developing and maintaining the data collection tools in Power Apps and Power BI.
- Actively improve the process of using these data collection tools and implement it into the day-to-day activities.
- Scout for new technologies on the market for further improvement of our usage of data.
- Support other departments with their data handling processes, such as Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems or similar, and implement similar tools as we use in EMM.
- Educate personnel to use the developed data tools.
Skills and experience
- M.SC or equivalent in Data Science or similar.
- Previous work experience in a similar role is not required but will be considered an advantage.
- Knowledge and/or experience in Power BI or similar Business intelligence and data visualization tools.
- Good knowledge in statistic data analysis.
- Knowledge in Minitab as well as Artificial Intelligence is a merit.
- Knowledge in electrical motors and general material tests is also considered a merit.
