Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer / Data Analyst with strong expertise in SQL, cloud data platforms, and data engineering frameworks. This role is ideal for candidates who excel in writing complex queries, optimizing data workflows, and working across modern cloud-based data stacks including Snowflake, Redshift, AWS, and Python-based processing frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
Write, review, and optimize complex SQL queries across various databases and data warehouse platforms.
Work with relational databases (RDBMS) and cloud-based data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake and Redshift.
Perform data modeling, schema design, and ensure data integrity through normalization and appropriate data type usage.
Use Python and libraries like Pandas or PySpark to manipulate and process large datasets.
Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and automate data ingestion and transformation processes.
Collaborate with data consumers to understand requirements and deliver structured, actionable datasets.
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using visualization tools like Tableau, PowerBI, or Looker.
Work with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB) as part of broader data architecture.
Handle real-time data streaming and contribute to scalable data streaming platform development.
Work within cloud environments, with a preference for AWS, leveraging cloud-native services.
Required Skills:
4+ years of experience if primarily SQL/database-focused; otherwise, 5+ years in data engineering/analytics roles.
Proven ability to write and optimize complex SQL queries across different platforms.
Strong understanding of data modeling, relational data concepts, and data architecture.
Hands-on experience with Python (especially Pandas or PySpark).
Working experience with Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, and other cloud-based data warehouses.
Familiarity with NoSQL technologies and unstructured data.
Strong grasp of ETL/ELT tools and data pipeline methodologies.
Practical experience with real-time data streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis).
Knowledge of at least one cloud platform (prefer
